Capstone Project – Developing Smart Goals/Objectives for Your Project
Read these directions closely. First, the assignment is asking you to discuss how SMART goals are used. Once you read and summarize the articles on what SMART goals are, you will select 3 peer reviewed articles that address your chosen field of interest (administration, education or clinical), and, finally, the last step is to create 3 SMART goals specific to your Capstone Project.
- Find 2 articles describing how SMART goals/objectives are used: what are they, how are they used, and why they can be a useful tool. Summarize content of each article by writing a summary paragraph for each. In this step you do not write SMART goals for your Capstone Project yet!
- Next, select 3 peer reviewed articles published within the last 5 years that address your chosen topic for your Capstone Project. You will use these to cite your Capstone Project goals/objectives. A table is provided in the assignment document for your use.
- Lastly, create 3 goals/objectives for your Capstone Project. This is where you create/write your Capstone Project specific SMART goals.
Remember: You must use in-text citations and references using correct APA format.
