TV Advertisement Group Assignment
Objectives:
Upon completion of this assignment, the learner will:
- Develop a 1-minute video explaining an assigned medication. (CO 1, 5)
- Integrate the use of appropriate graphics, action, and audio. (CO 5)
- Simplify patient teaching information into language appropriate for the non-medical audience. (CO 2, 5)
- Provide accurate, factual information for patient teaching. (CO 1)
Instructions
Create a 1-minute video TV advertising style on your assigned medication. You will be working in your pre-assigned groups. Remember that patient information should be clear and concise, avoid the use of medical terminology, and accurately explain information to an audience.
Suggested format
- Medication name (both Trade and generic) are clearly introduced.
- Purpose of medication described.
- Significant side effects discussed.
- Safety issues with medication explained along with “what to do if…”
- End credits (reference list)
